- An ecology that the client feels comfortable in, to speak out freely what weighs on their mind and causes them stress, admit to it, see it clearly and get rid of what they need to get rid of at this initial stage.
- Learn how to maintain mental, emotional and physical well being by adopting daily practices that “keep them out of trouble”-these practices are tailor-fit to the nature of the person.
- Discover what is important for them, prioritize it and develop a clear strategy of how to accomplish their personal and professional goals.
This 3-step process will lead the client to a feeling of Being Anchored with sense of mission and purpose where their life becomes their job.
The Thinking Coach Personal Coaching Philosophy
It has become very clear, after many years of experience, that the nature of coaching has changed dramatically, because times have changed, people have changed and the ways of getting results naturally need to change to meet the needs.
The philosophy of The Thinking Coach is that to achieve long lasting success people need to discover their own remedy by and through the help of the coach and not become passive and expect the coach to do it for them. Too many suggestions and too many instructions of what to do and what not to do present an impossibility that give clients the wrong sense of the challenges they face. The emphasis must shift therefore from two thirds active coaching/one third passive coaching to two thirds passive coaching/one third active coaching. The new one third active coaching can then become a set of useful instructions and tools provided by the coach, who is coming along side the client as a “partner of success”- The paradigm shift therefore is that the Client Is The Pivot of the personal coaching and not the coach- This philosophy decreases the dependency of the client on the coach and helps them discover their natural skills and talents and shows them how to continue to grow and develop without outside help.
