Decision making is not an easy process and many professionals struggle each and every day with scores of decisions they need to make under pressure. Decisions of convenience are often the result, which turn out to be wrong decisions.<br><br>
What follows is a New Think perspective on decision making. It is an out-of-the-box concept and a full appreciation of what is being intimated requires time and training. Once understood and practiced, it can become a great tool for professionals who have to stand behind their decisions.<br><br>

What does “invitational” mean? It means that the thinking process, in a way,

<li>Engaging in methodology that considers facts and parameters, which admits you into the big picture and extends your scope and perceptions</li>
<li>Following a consequence-scenario analysis process that enables you to evaluate a situation thoroughly</li>

<b><u>An analogy concerning attitude in decision making</u></b><br><br>
The thought process can be likened to a pipe through which water flows. The water or thought process is colorless but if the decision maker is personally biased, suspicious, reluctant, stressed and unhappy, they will color the water or thought process with their opinions and bias, and the water will turn murky. This will likely lead to a wrong decision. On the other hand, if the decision maker is motivated by professional considerations, has the time and know-how to conduct impersonal analysis based on facts and consequences, logistics, tactics, strategies, has a positive outlook, is a trusting person and a team-player, the water or thought process will be clear and the decisions made will reflect the needs with exactness and accuracy.<br>

A company is defined by the accumulative decisions its executives make each and every day. Thorough decision making training is an important and worthwhile investment as it trains the executives to be original and creative, while providing a system of thinking that will locate them in the now and the future rather then in the past.<br><br>
